Welcome back to the Ancestral Findings newsletter.
Today, let's step back in time
and learn about an incredible Disney animator and story-idea guy specializing in gags and pranks. Roy Williams was also a skilled sketch artist who often performed live at Disney and Disneyland events to draw for guests. Though not an actor, Walt Disney
decided Roy should be an "adult Mouseketeer" in The Mickey Mouse Club, where he would be called the Big Mooseketeer.
Then we will move on to a special series. I've always wanted to learn more about the cast of the I Love Lucy show. We'll start with the one and only Lucille Ball, as she was a beloved TV actress and comedienne. She appeared in many entertainment projects both before and after that legendary show. Her first marriage to Cuban bandleader Desi Arnaz is the stuff of TV legends. Let's face it, we all love Lucy.
Then onto one of my favorite PBS TV shows, The Joy of Painting. A talented man, Bob Ross was a complex individual, leading a most intriguing life behind the scenes of his beautiful landscape paintings.
