Today is Memorial Day, which holds meaning far beyond a long weekend. It’s a time to pause and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. As someone who spends much of my life exploring the past, I find this day especially moving. Behind every military record or weathered gravestone is someone who mattered and whose
choices, sacrifices, and stories are still felt today.
I wrote a short article reflecting on what Memorial Day means to genealogists and anyone who
values remembrance. If you have a moment today, I’d love for you to read it.
