Hi Friends,
There are weeks when you do everything right and still hit a wall, then one new record puts a person back into focus. That’s the point of this week’s Free Genealogy Lookups. They are built to help you confirm identity, place someone in the right county at the right time, and add detail that standard records sometimes miss.
This week focuses on military service and early American
history, including the 1890 Veterans’ Schedules in selected states, several Revolutionary War resources for New York, Maryland, and Delaware, and a major Civil War compilation for Massachusetts. If you have an ancestor who lived in the right place and time but is still hard to pin down, these are the kinds of collections that can give you the next clue, or help you separate two
people with the same name.
Also, don’t miss this week’s free book giveaway. I’m giving away a copy of The Politzer Saga by Linda A. Broenniman is a multi-generational family story that follows eight generations of Hungarian Jews across roughly 300 years, beginning in the 1700s. The giveaway ends February 15.
