Hi Friends,
I hope everyone is having a good summer, whether you have been making progress with your genealogy research or have decided to put it aside for a
little while. Summer is often filled with family visits, vacations, cookouts, and reunions, so taking a break from research is completely understandable.
Still,
those family gatherings can become part of your research. Take plenty of photographs, write down the stories people share, and record conversations when everyone agrees. Make a note of names, dates, places, family connections, and the little details that may be forgotten later.
When the colder months arrive and you return to your genealogy, those
photographs, notes, and recordings may provide valuable information to add to your family tree. Even a summer break can help preserve another part of your family’s history.
Happy Searching!
Will
