Welcome to This Week's Photography Newsletter!

Let's talk about the charm of old gear first. There's something magical about unearthing an old camera or lens and bringing it
back to life. It's like stepping into a time machine, ready to capture the present. Then, diving into making photography feel as easy as breathing, I want to share some ways to let our creativity flow freely without getting bogged down by the technical stuff.
And you know, in all this simplicity, there's a profound beauty. It's about guiding the viewer's eye, making your subject shine through with clarity and emotion. Speaking of clarity, let's remember how the light dances around us and
how even our zoom lenses can reveal unexpected perspectives, thanks to intriguing principles like the inverse square law.
Last month was also a personal milestone for me. I had the incredible opportunity to jet off to Denver and help my pastor friend with audio and video engineering for
their church. After a year of tests and surgeries, I felt stuck on pause; getting out, engaging with new challenges, and connecting with friends felt incredibly liberating.
As April unfolds, let's keep our cameras ready and eyes open to the vibrant scenes around us. Whether the soft glow of morning light or the shadowed intricacy of an everyday scene.
Happy shooting,
Will
